Nominations for the 2022 Hugo Awards Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, and Astounding Award for Best New Writer closed on March 15, 2022. Finalists will be announced on April 7, according to a message posted on the Chicon 8 (2022 Worldcon) Twitter:
Finalists for the Hugo, Lodestar, and Astounding Awards will be announced next Thursday, April 7, at 10 am CDT! 🎉
The announcements will be made via our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), on our website, and via email.

The Hugo Awards website does not administer the Hugo Awards, count ballots, or contact finalists. We will publish the finalist list here when Chicon 8 announces it.
