Designer Notes: For Worldcon 76 San Jose, Sara Felix and Vincent Villafranca chose to honor the astronomical heritage of California by featuring San Jose’s own Lick Observatory. Sara and Vincent designed the base in December of 2017. The bases are cast in bronze and are individually numbered. The accompanying short animated film, which was shown during the Hugo Award ceremony, was made by John A. Davis.
